Welcome back to another year at Emerson Green QUilters, we are pleased to publish our 2024/25 programme, which you will find on the website.
We are always on the look out for vistors and new members so please feel free to come along to our meetings where you will be met with a warm welcome. Welcome back to another year at EGC, our lovely committee have prepared another exciting programme for our members. We are always looking for input from our members with ideas so please let us know if there is something you would like to se in next years programme!
After an horrendous 18 months, and the various lockdowns, we are slowly being able to find some sort of normality, so much so, we are able to resume our meetings. We are sure it is something we all need, even just for the social aspects of our meetings. So please keep an eye out for a newsletter, we are working on one with the dates, at least for the rest of 2021.
Unfortunately the hall we have our meetings in will be used as a polling station on Thursday 12th December, so our meeting will have to be cancelled for that night. The members attending last night at the November meeting were asked to vote on whether to cancel the meeting completely or hold the meeting on the 5th December. The latter won. So our meeting will held on Thursday 5th December 2019. Please let any members, who may not see this post, know so they don't miss out.

In September 2019, the committee have considered launching a monthly block lottery.
As members, what are your thoughts on this? Please comment with your thoughts? What is a Quilt Block Lottery? And just like any lottery—you have to enter to win! You can make as many blocks as you like, each block gets you 1 chance to win them all. So 2 blocks = 2 tickets, 3 blocks = 3 tickets, and so on. Afternoon EGQ Members, today the Programme Page has been updated with the 2019/2020 programme. Click HERE to view the new programme.
We kicked off the year with Dawn Cameron Dick's One Woman Quilt Show and it was a wonderful evening. With beautiful quilts and an excellent speaker, who could ask for more. The committee are looking forward to next months speaker Catherine Lawes, My Journey in Textiles so Far.
